Je nach Ausführung können damit Bohrkernproben aus bis zu 100 bzw. 200 mm Bohrtiefe entnommen werden. Mit dem Ausstoßer lässt sich die Probe leicht aus dem Bohrkopf lösen. Der Bohrer aus Edelstahl V4A ist sterilisierbar und für den Einsatz mit Lebensmitteln geeignet.
