EKT Thalheim & Das Kofferwerk GmbH was established in 1998 from the former Thalheim case factory in Germany's Ore Mountains. Out of the existing operations for the production of travel cases and bags, the products have been adapted to meet the current demand of the market and the required parameters for our certification as per DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008. Having renewed our entire fleet of machinery, trained up specialist personnel and established our own CAD department, we can produce all kinds of covers, technical containers, packages and special items according to customer wishes and price requirements. We develop, manufacture and sell custom sewed products as well as technical cases and bags. In doing so, we combine the traditional craftsmanship of a small-scale enterprise with the latest methods in manufacturing. The requirements of our valued customers remain at the forefront of our entrepreneurial activities.

Our customers can be found across the globe in Germany and German-speaking countries, as well as across the rest of Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania. Countless patents and utility models across three different centuries are impressive indicators of the unbridled creative innovation of AVOLA. The company started out with machines for the textile industry. These were followed by agricultural machinery, and around 100 years after the company was founded, the first circular saw with wooden frame went on the market. The current product range comprises over 30 saws and operates in two different industries: Structural and civil engineering with circular saws for construction, the refractory industry with stone cutting saws and carpentry with undertable mitre saws. Millions of saws, accessories and spare parts have now been purchased and have made the AVOLA brand what it is today: A strong, professional and reliable partner for trade and industry.
