Die sehr gute Duktilität der Oberfläche wird häufig bei Bauteilen verwendet, die nachträglich verformt werden. Die Kupfer-Oberfläche hat zudem eine hohe thermische und elektrische Leitfähigkeit. Die Niederschläge sind sehr aktiv und lassen sich problemlos weiter beschichten. Daher werden Kupfer-Oberflächen häufig in Schichtsystemen als Zwischenschicht genutzt. Die Abmessungsbereiche starten ab 1,5mm Durchmesser bis zu einer Gesamtlänge bis 200mm.
